MANAGER - FINANCIAL AID

 

This role will provide complete oversight of all processing functions in the Financial Aid organization. Working closely with the Director and Associate Director of Financial Aid,  this role will monitor, analyze all processes tied to the Financial Aid processes. The Manager will  identify process improvements and system enhancements related to the transmission of  electronic financial aid applications, origination, acknowledgment, and disbursement records in the Federal Direct Loan process.  In addition, the Manager will create and monitor daily, weekly and monthly processing production schedules.  This role will also be responsible for creating and updating daily dashboards to commutate progress all financial aid processing functions to key stakeholders.

 

 

The Manager of  Financial Aid will:

- Provide insight and visibility to all financial aid processes

- Assertively analyze all electronic transmissions between Capella and the Direct Loan Program

- Identify and implement process and/or system enhancements to eliminate errors and increase productivity

- Provide financial aid production forecasts  based on enrollment projections. 

 

Qualifications       

- Bachelors degree required, Masters degree  preferred

- experience administering the Federal Direct Loan program preferred

- experience working with PeopleSoft

- 3+ years successfully managing employees

- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience resolving business issues

- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements in Financial Aid

- Critical thinking skills and ability to connect dots

- Preferred experience with Workforce management software
