Founded in 1872, Doane University is Nebraska’s oldest private liberal arts institution, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the Nebraska Coordinating Commission of Post-Secondary Education. We are proud to offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as certifications, serving over 1,200 nonresidential students across our Lincoln campus, Omaha location, and online platforms. In 2021, our engineering program received the prestigious accreditation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)—making Doane the only private institution in Nebraska to achieve this honor.
Our residential campus in Crete spans more than 300 scenic acres, welcoming over 1,000 students each academic year. With a vibrant community of 800+ students engaged in athletics, Greek life, and the fine and performing arts, our Crete campus offers a unique, family-oriented approach to living and learning.
