- Vice Provost for Enrollment Management
Description

The University of Minnesota Twin Cities—one of the nation's leading public, land-grant research universities—seeks an accomplished enrollment leader to serve as its next Vice Provost for Enrollment Management.
As the flagship campus of the University of Minnesota system, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities is Minnesota's only land-grant institution, enrolling the majority of the system's more than 72,000 students and serving as a national leader in research, public engagement, and student opportunity. As a member of the Association of American Universities, the University is uniquely positioned as one of the few Big Ten universities embedded within walking distance of a vibrant major metropolitan area. The University offers the rare distinction of housing an engineering school, medical school, law school, veterinary medicine school, and agricultural school on a single campus. Spanning more than 1,150 acres across Minneapolis and St. Paul and set along the scenic Mississippi River, the campus combines urban energy with green spaces and historic character.
The University is entering a period of renewed alignment and institutional momentum, creating an opportunity to shape a cohesive, future-focused enrollment vision that advances the distinct mission and reputation of the Twin Cities campus. This is reinforced by the University of Minnesota's recently unveiled strategic roadmap, Elevate Extraordinary 2030, reflecting an ambitious set of priorities focused on innovation in teaching and learning, deepened community impact, and investment in people and infrastructure, positioning the institution to build on its strengths and define its next era of excellence.
Serving as the chief enrollment officer for the Twin Cities campus, the Vice Provost will lead the strategy and operations of undergraduate enrollment—including recruitment, admissions, scholarships, transfers, and financial aid—while partnering closely with the Vice Provost for Graduate and Professional Education and the academic deans to advance a coordinated approach to graduate enrollment. The role is situated within a newly configured, integrated enrollment portfolio that reflects a clear institutional commitment to advancing a comprehensive, modern approach to enrollment management. Within an evolving University-wide enrollment structure, the Vice Provost will play a central role in advancing the vision of one University on five campuses, in conjunction with the Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management (system-oriented) and the senior enrollment officers on the University's other campuses. Balancing campus priorities with University strategy, the Vice Provost will help position the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for long-term enrollment stability, academic excellence, and financial sustainability.
The University seeks a strategic, collaborative, and forward-thinking enrollment leader with a broad, University-wide perspective and the ability to advance strategy in a complex, multi-campus research environment. This is a significant opportunity to elevate enrollment at a flagship campus and contribute meaningfully to its future trajectory. The successful candidate will demonstrate a national perspective, a strong record of innovation and operational excellence, and the ability to lead thoughtfully through change. An effective listener and skilled manager of people, the Vice Provost will build trust across constituencies, foster collaboration, and guide teams with clarity, care, and purpose.
